Dogus University was founded in 1997

It’s located in the city of Istanbul in the Kadikoy region. Furthermore, it is a prestigious university that has held many arrangements for the exchange of students and education staff from 22 European countries and is distinguished by its recognition of foreign certificates and obtaining a diploma.
Dogus University designed and developed its study program for the benefit of students, as students receive a high-quality education compared to any university in the world.

About the University:

Dogus University is a society that welcomes all cultures and makes its education accessible to people from all over the world. The mission of DOU’s international activity is to promote synergy between the Turkish and European education systems and to ensure the transfer of knowledge.
The International University Office coordinates events aimed at making DOU global. Dogus University International Relations Office directs and supports students and staff in preparing necessary documents, providing useful online services, and solving all problems that arise during related operations, incoming and outgoing.
The university cooperates with more than 80 universities in more than 20 countries across Europe under the Erasmus program.
This exclusive student exchange program is considered a great opportunity for both students and institutions in terms of broadening cultural, educational, and personal horizons from an outside perspective, keeping in mind the goals that students would like to achieve while abroad. Our main goal is to support them in making the right decision that is likely to change their educational and personal life in the future in a completely different way and to make a clear plan to do so.
The main objectives of the Office of International Relations are to develop the international cooperation of the University, to expand the partnerships of the DOU, and to promote institutional internationalization and organizational support for international activities.
Dogus University was established by the Dogus Educational Foundation in 1995 and opened by Law of July 9, 1997, and No. 4281 of the Turkish Grand National Assembly; it is a constituent university with a public entity.
Dogus University with its rapid academic progress has gained a successful position in higher education in a short time. It has 35 undergraduate programs in five faculties, 35 associate degree programs in the vocational school, 10 graduate programs, and 4 Ph.D. programs in the Graduate Institute.
The most important asset of Dogus University is the education of fully qualified, intellectual, self-confident, socially sensitive, ethical, and responsible students who can follow and analyze developments in their country and the world.

The importance given to quality in education ensures that Dogus University increases its success and obtains a place among the best in the objective ranking done by various sources.

Research:

As an institution that aims to contribute to the scientific world at all times, it has established a fund program to support research projects to be carried out within the university. Scientific Research Projects (SRP) fund research in various fields. Lastly, the projects are analyzed by three specialists, one of whom is not a member of Dogus University.

Career life:

The Student Affairs Career Planning Center provides the opportunity to expand students’ visions and find answers to their questions about the future through numerous seminars and conferences throughout the academic year. In addition, “Career Days” have been held every year since 2005. Thanks to the Career Days which have become traditional with such a sound foundation and development every year, Dogus University’s students find the opportunity to meet with representatives of different sectors.

Student life:

Sports facilities: The university health center is recognized for students pursuing a university life intertwined with sports, in the field and studios in the center. Football, basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, table tennis, swimming, dancing, and Pilates facilities are available. All students at Dogus University can make use of the sports facilities free of charge. Besides, the indoor gymnasium and swimming pool can be used by university staff and non-university members who have a membership.

University services:

  1. Student services:
    • The Student Council was established to identify the educational, health, sports, and cultural needs of the university’s undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, report them to boards of directors and coordinate between students and boards.
  2. Housing Services:
    • Dogus University has a settlement plan that corresponds to Istanbul. All members of the university, especially students, benefit from its central location and easy transportation.
  3. Library services:
    • Dogus University Library and Documentation Center is an important reference center for students, education staff, administrative staff, and other universities with their data sources. Through e-library services, researchers from Turkey and around the world also have access to information and documents for students.
  4. ICT services:
    • Dogus University has 50 multimedia-supported classrooms that can be used to work simultaneously with a laptop or desktop computer with a home theater sound system to deliver presentations and lessons with the necessary technological facilities. Almost all classrooms on campus have a projector and audio-visual equipment available in 18 lecture halls.
  5. Medical services:
    • In Dogus University Health Services Center, examination, telemedicine, emergency interventions, and psychological support are provided. In addition, Students and staff of Dogus University can benefit from the Health Services Center where specialist doctors, specialist psychologists, and nurses are available, without paying any fees when they need them.
