Atilim University
Atilim University was founded on the 15th of July 1997 by the Atilim Foundation.
The Atilim Foundation started in 1996, as a constituent university as a legal entity per the provisions of the Law on the Establishment of Higher Education Institutes. Atilim University is located on 250 acres of land in Incik-Golbasi, one of the newest and fastest developing residential areas in Ankara, 20km from the city center and 7km from the highway.
Campus:
The campus contains faculty buildings, laboratories, conference rooms, basketball and volleyball courts, a gymnasium, tennis courts, a condition hall, a swimming pool, cafeterias, cafes, and recreational areas where outdoor activities are also carried out. Atilim University has also supported the development of many student clubs and societies since its creation; therefore, more than 60% of students so far participate in 54 clubs. Clubs and associations had the opportunity to organize artistic and social trips, discussion sessions, conferences, debates, and cultural activities to share the social atmosphere and learning.
The library:
The library began functioning in March 1998 in a classroom of the first building of Atilim University, with one hundred books and computers. In later time, it moved to the Operations building, where it remained there until the 2000-2001 school year. After, it moved to a new building, intended solely for library purposes. The library’s collection contains 75305 printed books, 92625 e-books, 3340 printed magazines, and 29325 Ebooks. Publications with a total of 203137 publications in the complete collections.

Undergraduate Research Projects (LAP) was organized to create a research culture for undergraduates and raise the level of researchers and creative students at Atilim University; it is one of the most important programs at Atilim University thanks to its contribution to training leading researchers and accomplishing their capabilities. Atilim University encourages scientific production efforts as a group and individually using scholarships of up to 1000 TL per student and 15000 TL in total.
Atilim University offers higher education services through 40 programs in the Faculties of Engineering, Law Management, Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Health Sciences, Civil Aviation, and Distance Learning Directorate.
In addition, the Graduate Schools of Natural and Applied Sciences and Social Sciences offer postgraduate studies at Atilim University, which has launched collaborative research projects with several defense industry organizations under the Defense Industry Researcher Training Program (SAYP) developed by the Ministry of Defense Industry.
