European University in Georgia
The European University is located in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
European University is an educational institution that carries out higher education programs following the rules established by law, and it issues a qualification certificate recognized by the state.
About the university:
Following the decision of the Council for the Authorization of Educational Institutions of January 21, 2011, the university obtained the status of an educational university for 5 years. By 2012, the university was providing three educational programs: a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, and a master’s degree program in health administration. At the end of 2013, the university obtained accreditation for the bachelor’s degree program in Banking and Finance. Furthermore, in 2014-2017, it obtained accreditation for its educational programs, including the English-language program for graduate doctors, which accounts for the largest share of foreign students.
According to the Decision of the Council for Higher Education Authorization Institutions of January 18, 2016, the European University has acquired the status of an educational university for 5 years until 2021. Additionally, the university has a marginal student population of 1,500 and it sets a threshold of 3,000 students.
There are 4 faculties at the European University:
Faculty of Business and Technology – Faculty of Law, Humanities and Social Sciences – Faculty of Medicine – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Within the aforementioned faculties, the university implements 12 educational programs, which include educational programs of two levels of higher education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, single-level, and one-year teacher training).

The library:
The European University Library is a structural unit of the University, which, in accordance with the rules for using the library, provides library resources to students, academics, invited staff, scholars, and administrators.
The library’s book fund consists of compulsory literature needed to carry out educational programs run by the university, as well as general, scholarly, and fiction publications, periodicals, digital literature, etc.
Finally, the library offers readers a book reservation service in addition to the service of subscribing to books from another library.
