Eastern Mediterranean University was established in 1979 and is the only public university in Cyprus.
Located in northern Turkish Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean University ranked high among the top 1500 international universities.
Eastern Mediterranean University is the only public university in the TRNC, which has been providing higher education in the TRNC since 1979 using a range of programs accredited by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK).

Master's Program at Eastern Mediterranean University:
Eastern Mediterranean University provides a 50% scholarship for all foreign students in all majors at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, except for pharmacy; because the scholarship varies based on the educational attainment of students in high school, where the scholarship ranges between 25% and 50%. In addition, medical students don’t get a scholarship. As for Ph.D. students, the university offers one 100% scholarship or two 50% scholarships in each of the university’s majors, and the decision is made to give one full scholarship (100%) or two scholarships at a rate of 50% to two students based on the number of students applying for each major and the educational attainment of each student in the master’s stage, implying that this scholarship is competitive.
The tuition fee is $761 per subject, and the total value of the education varies according to the number of hours and subjects to be completed to obtain a master’s degree. Therefore, master’s students can learn several subjects by communicating with us so that they can choose the courses or the syllabus of education to know when the subjects are to be completed.
For example, if the number of subjects is 7, the student will multiply that number by the cost-per-subject, which is 761$, to calculate the total payment value required to finish a Master’s. Moreover, students should note that there is no cost for the graduation project for those who wish to study for a master’s degree without a thesis and that the cost of registration for a university thesis is $1250.
We would also like to draw your attention, dear students, to the fact that you have to pay $135 per semester instead of health insurance and registration fees.
