Istanbul Bilgi University has operated a long-term partnership from 2006-2019 with Laureate Education, one of the biggest education networks in the world, aiming to increase the quality of education and scientific research and to be able to compete internationally. In 2019, Can Holding joined Bilgi’s creditors. Adhering to the principle of ‘Non scholae sed vitae discimus’ (Education is not for school, it’s for life). Istanbul Bilgi University earned its position in the Turkish system for higher education as a civil company, and that’s after the request Bilgi Education and Culture made on the 7th of June 1996.

It has more than 170,000 printed books, 60,000 electronic journals, 500,000 e-books, and 125 electronic databases and encyclopedias. The university provides 3 libraries, 15 classrooms, and places for individual and group work, in addition to IT corners in Bilgi libraries, a comfortable place for studying, research, and reading.
